All we had was a small PX, and our own radio station KBIC (Keerist But Its Cold). We were forbidden to go near the Eskimos as they were not immune from white man's many diseases. Everything was flown in or out of Thule-and it was a 9 hour flight "down the hill" to Hartford. I made one trip to the capitol-Godhaab-it was totally dependent on the fishing industry to survive! It was quite an experience, so I know what these people are going thru!
