Dear Richard,

Thanks for, essentially, "live blogging" this election. It is very interesting, indeed. I do hope that the Holocaust denier is voted out. (Can't remember how to spell his name, don't care anyway.) It is refreshing to see the enthusiasm of the Iranian people - no matter which candidate they are voting for. I think it's remarkable that the Western press has been given the freedom to cover the elections, in particular because there has been such an open expression of dissent from voters. I can remember a day when the government would not have wanted the outside world to see that. Brian Williams hit the nail on the head, during last night's broadcast - you can't put the genie back in the bottle. No matter the results, I would think that reformist momentum can only grow from here.

Hope to see you on Maddow tonight. Are you now learning Farsi? :-)
