This sounds fair! Now we (US) don't have to torture anyone, just shoot them! Seeing as the Taliban does not abide by the Geneva Convention, I guess all agreements should be off. If we catch a spy, are we now allowed to give them the same treatment as our enemies, or are we going to sit, wring our hands and say that is barbaric and it could never be? When is the US going to realize that we are NOT dealing with reasonable people with idealogies that are not in line with ours? a) The U.S. has invaded another country

do not like being invaded by foreign powers.
Why this obvious consequence was not taken into

I must ask that we leave the country to

enough to question and rebel against their
few masters. We should be only providing
covert help to those specific identified
groups that are capable of being the
equivalent of the Minutemen of 1776!

Until then, Afghanistan should be left to
secretive special forces only rather than
a having on overt external large-scale
force that is symbolic of outside
imperialism to the average Afghan.

Overt militarism may be tactically viable
but from a long-term strategic view, the
consequences of our continuing overt stay
is much more than any possible political
gains from such forces placement.

I hate to say this but Ronald Reagan did it
right in the 80's. He only sent covert forces
who helped out in strategically important places
to help defeat the Soviets. In this time, we
are dealing more with general poverty and
simple religious strife than any concerted
long-term war, therefore we must concentrate
our efforts to covertly sway KEY people in
the local village governments who have the
ability and political power to cause the
general Afghan public to be question itself
and it's current leaders or Taliban extremists
followers so that they eventually say enough
is enough and begin helping themselves!

For us it would cheaper in terms of actual
monies saved and in the saving of American,
Canadian, British, etc. soldiers' lives!

So the key point is to think Covert Action
for and against Key People over a long period
of time - Only then will we win this battle
of the minds!

My immediate reaction was 'what callousness & contempt shown by US authorities to the lives of Afghanistanis-hundreds of women,children non-combatants'.
Surely this amounts to atrocities and borders on crimes against humanity committed by the US afganistanis paid($1.22) agents, the operators of the unmanned drones and the US administrators!
The US seems to display an equivalent attitude with its international trade,consumerism(illicit drugs,weaponry,human sex & body parts).
This is the very stuff designed to create an inexhaustable source of afganistanis anti US recruits.
Surely the UN ought to investigate this scenario but will not as the US remains its largest funder armed with its veto!

After reading most replies I considered one remark
describing the terrorist spy as not showing signs of trauma to be rather naive. The writer concluded the individual is not a legitimate terrorist spy because eye movement and other indicators were normal. People do become numb and can continue ordinary behavior because their mind has knocked out aspects of a situation which they cannot accept and remain sane.
Maybe he had chips, maybe not, but he is definately interested in avoiding the Taliban. I don't perceive this conflict as being the most insidious in our country will face fundamentalists. Those Moslems responding to radical politicians are also in the Far East. It is a time trusted formula, radical politics hides behind religious leadership to enforce domestic policty. The same pattern in Nazi Germany and unfortunately I have seen signs in front of churches in West Virginia which decry inter racial relationships, Google Washington Post 2003 Senator Robert Byrd and read of his affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan. Senator John James Rockefeller dominates the media in the state and has never made a full financial disclosure to his constituents or the US Senate. Both of these men are adept at manipulating the passions of a cowereing impoverished population who do not have the education or exposure to ask questions of their elected officials concerning bids, appointments and favoritism in state politics.Everone wonders why Rockefeller of W.Va. is on the Defense Committee, he has no record of service in the US Military as far as anyone knows and although he graduated from an Ivy League Institution his SAT/ACT scores were very very low. Rockefeller Foundation funds construction in W.Va. and Sen Rockefeller owns the construction company, Rockefeller's wife is on the Board of Directors of about six or seven of the states cultural and educational agencies collecting a paycheck. Does anyone believe she can really, honestly do all that work, some say her attendance is terrible. Forget Chips in Middle East- We need some domestic scrutiny of our own national leadership by the institutions already in place. How much would it cost for a Super Team of Investigators to research highly profitable and cozy relationships between elected leadership and the public education, health care, transportation, hospitals, public broadcasting,
police and courts. If a Foundation such as Rockefellers offers grants and scholarships in many impact areas and the recipients go to work in his home state where are their loyalties, to the community or their benefactor? Ironically Senator John James Rockefeller is taking a tour of his home state, he will be in W.Va doing hospital tours! Most people wonder why, he is rumored to have made funds available for the construction of one hospital which badly needed equipment before adding more patients and stress to an obsolete hospital. Equipment first at hospital, then new wing. We need to focus on domestic issues with the same dedication as we have to foreign threats. We can do this without violence or
destabilizing our existing institutions, vote the buggers out.

2. See the Indian's are now tamed after 26/11 as they have allowed CIA/FBI access to RAW insiders, that they Indians didnt allow before this!

How do you know this guy did any of this? The problem with torture, including when done by the US, is that you get unreliable information. People will name the names of innocents and confess to things they did not do, just to stop the pain.

The emergence of this video comes as no suprise, its purpose clearly to spread fear and distrust amongst the populace of Afghanistan. All in order to dissuade villagers from aiding the US with a method that is working at eliminating Al-Queda. This much is clear. What is unfortunate is that this system is a testement to an abominable war. When has there ever been honor in killing,and an unarmed one at that? Because assassination of Al Queda leadership with a drone--superior technonogy, wealth and ability, -is like slaughtering cattle. And the people who suffer in this war are not Americans, but the orphans, wives, and homes who are forever left without hope, stuck in a third world barren wasteland. Are these people not endowed with the same thoughts, feelings, emotions, rights and free speech as any other person? Rather than fight a worthy or true enemy with conflicting interests and are a clear and present threat to us, this war is analogous to a pet owner declawing a pet cat. My assessment of the situation in general: a pathetic waste of time, money, resourses and life which exists as a hollow, base vendetta/ act of vengeance, orchestrated and perpetuated for political gain. End the war, end the sufferring, end weapons in the middle east. Instead educate them, nurture their development and raise them to America's level.

I dont even think the kid was killed... That looks like old footage, and there were several people in a pile being shot. It should read more like: I was paid to spread lies around in the hopes of striking a bleeding heart chord in America >_>

I would also like to comment on an older "execution" of 2 prostitutes: The shooting was conducted in the middle of the night. The footage then cuts to 2 covered supposed women laying on the ground: In the middle of the day, with blood just now starting to come out. The pool of "blood" on the left woman was getting bigger. But if they were killed at night, then the supposed pool would already be there and NOT get bigger.

But however, I do not doubt that they were dropping "chips" or laser finders for targets. I think they may have an "Idea" that someone is tipping the CIA off. But the whole idea that the CIA is operating like this stinks. They generally seem to only ask for local help in the event of hostage or urgent situations. Besides, why would u need local spies when u have the greatest eye in the sky? I.E. Spy satellites?

I just read about 50 comments by people all over the states and some from Canada. The word "women" was only used 3 times and it was always in context to the collateral damage to women and children by the US government. Why isn't anyone concerned enough to mention that the Taliban is beating, maiming, and killing women in their own country?! You all make me angry. Get off your butt and help the world.
