I agree that there should be some level of sympathetic ears and hopefully a ransom paid, however, I cannot abide by someone placing themselves in harms way, knowing they have done so, that there is a huge risk associated with it, and then hoping to be....I want to go there myself to save her, but in the same breath I can only ask what she was thinking when she traveled there? Being a soldier entails high risk, it is known by the person enlisting, as does anyone who takes a job there, be it missionary, oil field worker, any type of position that puts one in the middle of a hotbed of discord. In a perfect world, I'd love for that to happen but I'm not naive, nor am I as heartless as the majority remarks posted here. This could happen to anybody be-it in Texas, DC, NY, Italy, anywhere. It's incredibly easy to sit behind a computer and make a selfish "sucks to be you" comment. Is this all we're capable of doing? Teasing someone who helplessly begs for their life?
