Will they accept it in good faith or will they continue to allow their Hamas government to continue to destroy any chance of progress by launching rockets into Isreali teritory? Will they allow their extremists to continue to bomb marketplaces in Iraq? Will they continue to allow terrorists to commit despicable acts around the world? When will they take responsibility for their own actions and stop the people that destry the world around them and begin to support the people that will lead them to prosperity and peace. Until they are willing to stand up to those among them that lash out at the world while using innocent people as human shields and do nothing to stop the criminals in their own society that create chaos there is little hope of finding a way to peace.

Arab world still looking for ‘change’

a note to Obama, Do not ask to take the nit from your neighbors eye till you take the log fron your, or your nation's, eye. Unfortunately, America has elected a great speaker, not a great doer. Take today's comments for example where he told congress that business and people that run businesses and the employees of those businesses are what will cure the economy and not government. Now go back just 20 days ago to January 8th, 2009 and listen to his speach where he states "only government will mend the economy, only government can fix the issues of the economy and not businesses. Only a 20 day span separates his comments that directly contrast one another and are completely oposite in meaning and terms. The guy will say anything at any time if he thinks that is what people want to hear. Obama is an extreme liberal and is doing and saying whatever he thinks will advance his agenda. His words cannot be trusted, only his actions. The reason he wants republican support for his economic plan is so when it fails he has cover from the republicans, and believe me, his plan will fail. If his plan were so great, why the massive effort to get the republicans to cover him with votes when he has enough votes without a single republican to move forward as he chooses? If the plan is so great and his confidence so high, why not just go ahead with only democratic support and then when the plan succeeds he can almost eliminate the conservative party once and for all? Because he is afraid and will not go forward without cover from the republicans. When his plan fails, he wants to be able to say that the support was bi-partisan and therefore all were in agreement to use his plan to fix the economy. He is a great speaker, but has no character of his own. Also, listen to his speeches, he totally rips off past speeches by Ronald Reagan, and even George Bush. His speech today had virtually the same verbage as George Bush only a short time ago. Wake up people, see this guy for what he is....a typical black man that is "playing" the country with every speech he makes. His words betray him every time he speaks. The reference to the typical black person, by the way, is just a play on Obama's own words when referring to his grandmother calling her a "typical white person" in one of his campaign speeches. This guy is a fruad.

Arab world still looking for ‘change’

I think there is nothing whatsoever to fear by the Arabs, a journey of 200years must definitely commence with a step at a time. It's a fact: it did not work. Maybe it's time to realize that a new way to think and to act is necessary in order to solve the tension and to live in peace for those 2 countries. If you look back and read any book of History about the creation of Israel , you can find that unfortunately Israel was made on a injustice: the displacement of the palestinians. And the children of those displaced generation are the current terrorists. The children living the conflict right now in everyday life have a good chance to be the terrorists of tomorrow. A child who loose his house, his brothers and sisters because of an israelian bomb will keep anger. And Israel will never be in Peace. If the government of Israel and their friends (United States of America) could acknowledge that an injustice was made .... it might help a lot. Really a lot. This idea is not really new, a lot of jewish communities think that way. Unfortunately the media do not give them so much opportunities to express their opinion. Peace in this area will help not only for the homeland security but for the security of the world. We should not forget that Israel has a better army and so they are stronger. It is the duty of the strongest one to make the effort. And so should the new government of the United State of America and talk wisely for once to their friends. Will the President have the courage to do so? Nota bene: I apologize for my english... it's not my first language.

Arab world still looking for ‘change’

I came from a Muslim Country to America when I was a kid, not to see that America is giving away its styles that made it the best hope for humans' advancement.

To problem creators, America should only talk like - Is it better to be feared or respected? They have complaints about 19th century European colonization, and with some validity, but they gloss over Turkish imperialism in southeast Europe that lasted centures and reached as far as Vienna; not to mention the near conquest of Europe in earlier centuries. Muslim memories are very selective.Istanbul was once a Greek city - but it was conquered and ethnically cleansed by Muslim Turks - mosques were built where churches once stood or outright threw Christians out of their own churches and cathedrals - if it were the other way around, the grudges, hatred and warfare would have been unending. We know that the Crusades were an aggressive act by Europe, in the name of religion, against Muslims, but that's why we call that period the "Dark Ages." We grew up - what are they waiting for - another 1000 years? There is ethnic cleansing of Christians and whatever remain of Jews throughout Muslim controlled lands, without a peep from the press, the UN or others - and it is happening now in the 21st Century. Slavery, child slavery, sanctioned mistreatment of women, gays and minorities - on and on - are all features of life throughout much of the Muslim world. Muslim immigrants in Europe and America know well the language of civil rights in demanding their place in the sun in predominantly Christian societies, and so they should - with the right to practice their religion and build mosques guaranteed - I support that, but in lands where they are the majority, no such rights are granted to others. You can get killed for having a bible in Saudi Arabia.

We are insensitive if we fail to grant them rights here, we are insensitive if we demand similar rights in Muslim lands, we are insensitive if we are offended by a grotesque pattern of Jihad-inspired terrorism, we are insensitive if we or others defend ourselves against terrorism, we are insensitive if we want to continue living as Western societies, according to our values. It must recogonize that it has to participate on a level equal to other Western and democratic societies. It has to stop looking backward and begin to look forward. These fanatics do not acknowledge that Israel has any right to exist and demand its utter destruction. This is not negotiable to them. Unless we join them in driving the Jews into the sea and all convert to Islam they will always hate and want to destroy us. Negotiations in that region have been going on all my life to no effect, in fact its got worse. All a shift to the left in government means is that again a fortune in taxpayers money will go into temporary platitudes (bribes) which they will take with one hand while stabbing us in the back with the other. Obama probably thinks he can stop dogs chasing cats as well. The naivity of this administration puts us all in danger and is what will bring about 9/11 II. Concentrate your efforts on securing our borders and our country, that's what will keep us safe. We also need to harvest our Oil resources here as part of an energy independence program so we are not sending trillions of dollars to those who seek to destroy us. Nice people always think everything can be solved by negotiation, they just can't understand the concept that some not everyone is as nice as them and some are just downright evil. As George Orwell said “We sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”. In the modern world we find this an uncomfortable fact. I'm not against diplomacy at all but just as when you are cornered by the drunk who won't go home until he's got in a fight, a time comes where the talk ends and you either have to defend yourself or take what ever he decides to dish out.

Arab world still looking for ‘change’

Before we change the world we should fix our country. Average everyday Americans could care less to be honest with you. We will however come to aid of our allies in wars against their peoples much like we did for our Arab allies against Iraq in the first Gulf War. I wonder if these same individuals who are quick to criticize Mr. Obama so early on were as quick to criticize George Bush about any obvious mistakes, lies, and F-ups he had. It's possible that they weren't....LOL Be honest with yourself and ask these questions: 1.) Am I being so critical because of his identity? Secondly, 2.)Am I being so critical because of his party affiliations? If so, it's time to realize that it's not fair to criticize someone for taking a first or second step towards progress in any particular area. I believe the Muslim Arab world does have the burden of changing its outlook of Israel and its right to exist. The reality is that Obama will not change the relationship that America has with Israel which is the core issue. The moderate Arab world needs to come to grips with this reality and when it accepts this entirely the fanatical elements within the Muslim world will no longer have the backing or support to inflict terror in a world wants peace. Each person needs to stand up for what is right and just, then and only then will there be a peaceful coexistence. The words Obama speaks are the same words we have heard for decades.
