Someone, a journalist... somebody should be able to find out exactly which Chinese Air Force helicopter landed and took on the injured in the mountain village of Liuzu four days after the earthquake struck and from there find the individual crewmen... and track down the whereabouts of the 2 month old child... how unimaginably horrible for these parents to know they survive these earthquakes and then to have their child "misplaced"...

This one sounds very, very familiar. Change the names and the location, and that story was told over and over again in the afermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Did no one learn from that? Did no emergency service anywhere learn that when you rescue a child from their parent's arms after a disaster of any ilk, you must get the names of the parents?

This part of any disaster is as tragic as the actual event, and THIS part is entirely preventable. Will we never learn?

There ought to be a short term solution in place, if there isn't already, to help reunite parents and children who have been separated. If a child can't be identified, they may be assumed to be orphaned or abandoned and sent to new families.

Short of trying/asking the Red Cross, I'm not sure what he can do to find his baby girl. I truly hope, however, that they are reunited soon! As a parent of 2 small children, I know how agonizing this must be for him...Our thoughts and prayers are with him and the people of China...

In the society of China where one child is the most you can have and there were many families who lost their only child it makes you wonder if there is hope for this couple ever finding their daughter. With so much chaos admist the recovery... with parents scrambling to find their lost children... with so much pain is it even possible to find a lost baby? Even in America would you be able to pick your lost 2 month old among a crowd of orphaned babies?

The Chinese Air Force must keep records of flights in some way or another even during crisis/emergency situations. Time date and location of that flight should be documented. That may be a start to discovering where the little one was placed when the flight landed.

I think he needs to use the media and just get some oridnary people from the city to volunteer to search the hospitals as well, with the overloading, it will be too hard and take too long for him to do it alone. He needs helpt and right now the officials are working on trying to save other victims so he need to go to the public and beg for their help, call a conference and set up groups of individuals to go to hospitals together and check out every patient as efficiently as possible. There is no room for screw ups because at this point, it would be sooo easy to overlook her.
